I begged my mom and dad for a cell phone for over a week. I said “Mom, Dad may I please please please have a cell phone.” They said “NO Calista.” I said “But I need it for emergencies like to contact someone when I’m at Spirit Squad practice. EVERYONE has a cell phone but me!”
Finally they said “Ok Calista.” YES! The next day, they gave me my cell phone. I was shocked. I said “What this old thing? You have to be kidding!” They said “You said you wanted a phone so here you go. It serves the purposes that you mentioned.” They may think that I did not notice, but I saw the smirks on their faces.
At school…
Me: “Hey Bob.”
Bob: “Hey Calista.”
I can’t show him my phone, I’ll be laughed at.
Me: “Bob call me on your cell phone ok.”
Bob: “I dont have a cell phone.”
Me: “Oh.”
Aw man I begged all that time for nothing. But I had an idea. I asked Mr. Smith if I could move to the empty chair next to Bob and he said yes. That ought to make it easier to pass notes. **Tee hee hee**

My 9 year old niece Christian wrote this entry (I helped just a little). She came up with the title, wrote the story and typed it up. She even picked out the outfits for Calista and Bob and dressed them. She helped me to pick out the photos to use for this entry.
ReplyDeletePrior to writing this entry, she (of course) read the previous diary entries. It was such a delight watching her as she read. I loved it when she laughed out loud and exclaimed "I HATE it when teachers read the notes out loud!" I asked her if she thought that the story was realistic and she said yes. She started asking me a lot of questions about Calista and Bob and about whether or not they would end up being together. I told her that I don't know, the story hasn't been written yet, we'll just have to wait and see. :)
This is just too cute, Roxanne. Your niece did a great job! dbg
ReplyDeleteWow! This is really good!
