It's the thought that counts...

This is what you get as a gift when your sister knows that you like dolls, but doesn't know what kind of dolls you like.

Michael Jackson

A couple of months ago, I purchased a 10" Michael Jackson doll distributed by Playmates Toys. I have the Billie Jean version, and they also make a Thriller version. According to the box, this figure has 37 points of articulation, and is a MJ Estate approved collectible figure of Michael Jackson.

He displays beautifully in his box. But of course I couldn't leave him in his box. I released him today.

Here he is posing. His joints are not too tight and not too loose. He can be easily posed and he holds his poses well.

The likeness is okay. The clothing and shoes are very nice, and they are removable.

He is 10 inches tall, so he is shorter than most of the of the other adults in my collection. He is closer to the height of my teens. Here he is with MC Hammer and another Michael Jackson doll (both are 12 inches), and Bob Scout.

My 2 Michaels have a dance-off. Little Michael wins.

The figure comes with a very nice stand and each figure is numbered.

Tyr Anasazi

When I first saw this figure for sale online a couple of years ago, I couldn't decide whether or not to buy him. Sure he's handsome and he looks interesting, but I just wasn't sure.

His hair was the deciding factor for me. I like to collect figures that have something about them that I don't currently have in my collection. Well I didn't have any dolls with locks, so I had to have him.

Unfortunately, by the time I decided that I wanted him, he had sold out at the online store where I'd been watching him and contemplating. Then I would see him pop up on eBay every now and then for ridiculous prices. Fortunately for me, D7ana was able to direct me to a store where I could purchase Tyr for a reasonable price. Thanks D7ana!

Tyr was added to my collection in October and he quickly made friends. He is pictured below with Blade, Jinx, Martha Jones, and Triad's Omega. They are ready for an adventure!

For some reason...

Sasha and Clawdeen have not been feeling like themselves lately.

Isla Rebodied

I did a head swap with Isla and Clawdeen Wolf. The new Isla looks good in clothing with high collars.
In revealing clothing, the results vary. In some poses, she looks pretty good.

In other poses, she looks like she has a serious thyroid condition.

She's still closer than ever to her twin Hadley.

Calista’s Diary Entry – Changes

Dear Diary,

I have changed. Sometimes I look at myself in the mirror and I do not recognize the person staring back at me. It all seems to be happening so fast!
My mom says that I'm going through a very special phase in a young lady's life and that I should embrace these changes. And I do. The only thing that I don't like is that I've suddenly outgrown all of my shoes! I had some cute shoes, too. Oh well, that gives me a reason to go shopping. :)
My mom and dad truly dislike some of my latest clothing choices. But they always tell me that I'm growing up and that I need to take on more responsibility. Ok, so they should let me be responsible for the clothes that I wear.

I'm glad that some things haven't changed, like the bond between me and my BFF's.
