Action Figures in Sparkle Girlz Fashions

How much can they stretch?  Let's put them to the test!
I'm trying these fashions out on my action figure ladies.  They are from left to right:  BBi Perfect Body AA (large bust), Hot Toys TT Cuban American, Takara clone with Mixis Opal head, Phicen, and Martha Jones.  They are barely squeezing into these fashions, but they did it.  The clothes don't fit quite right on some of them.  The capris that come with the outfit that the BBi Perfect Body AA is wearing will not fit, so she's wearing the top as a very short dress.

The velcro will close completely in the back (barely).

Here are some fashions that I've shown previously.  These figures are from left to right:  Dragon Linh, GI Joe Helicopter Pilot, Triad Alpha, Sideshow Jinx, and BBi Perfect Body Hispanic (small bust).  Only action figure ladies that are as slender as Dragon Linh can wear the Sparkle Girlz outfits that have pants.  The Triad Alpha is wearing a Sparkle Girlz top, but different shorts.

And here's a group shot of a bunch of the ladies decked out in their new Sparkle Girlz attire.

  1. Hi Roxanne,

It's good to know that the SG fashions will fit (even if snugly) on some of the female action figure bodies. I like the short tunic dress that the BBi female wears. I don't have that particular fashion. Truth be told, I don't have most of these since the bulk of my SG fashions were singles. The length of the black sparkly dress is good on Opal. Most of the others are rather short and Halle looks like she wants to show some tail, especially in the profile photo. :-)

I might try one or two of my SG fashions on my Brown Phicen.

I have a SG post today using SG dolls with their fashions.

    1. Hi Debbie! Halle most definitely wanted to show some tail in that fashion, and it looked like she had on the most uncomfortable thong ever. I really like Opal in that dress, and I was pleasantly surprised that she could fit it considering that one is not made out of stretchy material. The really short skirts are going back to my teens (except maybe the one that the Hispanic Perfect Body is wearing - she looks cute in that to me).

    1. Thank you Night Owl! I'm really enjoying these fashions. Most of these action figure ladies will not keep the tight fashions that they are wearing, but it was still fun dressing them up and seeing the results.

  4. It must be fun playing dress up with the girls! Small girl just like real girls require different fits. Some dresses work better as shirts along with some colors looking better on doll with different undertones. Great post!

    1. Thank you Ms. Leo! Yes, it was fun dressing them all, from the smallest to the largest. I look forward to mixing and matching these fashions with other fashions to find just the right looks.

  5. Amazing reactions - some of my slimmer girls - on teen or Model Muse bodies are smirking; some of my guys are grinning and enlarging the photos. My Mixis girls are shaking their heads, no. They don't want to hear ripped seams.

Thanks for sharing these fashions on some of the rounder and/or heavier dolls. Good to see how these fashions fit them.

Remember one size fits all? LOL - but how?!

    1. Hi D7ana! I remember the saying "Just because you CAN wear it doesn't mean that you SHOULD wear it" and I think that's the case with some of these ladies. :) They are going to have to hand these fashions back over to the teens. The Mixis could wear some of these without ripping the seams, like the black glittery dress that Opal is wearing, or the longer tops.

  8. I'm glad you did the stretch test on your dolls. I wondered if the would fit larger bodies.

    1. Hi Brini! I was happy to stretch these out to see which ones would fit my larger ladies. I figured that if any of them ripped or got stretched out of shape, I would have an excuse to go back to Walmart and get more. Well, I'll be going back to Walmart anyway to see if they have any single fashions stocked.

  11. Even in doll form Halle Berry can do no wrong with clothes. It just isn't fair...sigh

    1. Hi Valsays, she's looking good in that outfit, even though she's about to burst out of it.

  12. Nice to see that these fashions can stretch to their limit. Opal looks great in that dress. This company was pretty ingenious with the fabrics they used.

    1. Hi Vanessa! I was so pleased with how well that dress fit Opal. That one isn't even that stretchy compared to the others, but it was still a great fit.
