Today we're celebrating again at reaching this milestone. Thank you all so much for reading, commenting, making suggestions, inspiring me, and motivating me! Through this hobby, I'm encouraged to continually learn, grow, and improve. It will be interesting to see where the next 5 years lead me.
I've created a video for this occasion. It's a compilation video that includes some never before seen photos and video clips. I am the one singing. :) If the video will not play for you, please click here.
Congratulations! And thank you for persevering and sharing your dolls with us! Lots of great dolls in the video but of course I giggled every time there was a touching booty shot.
ReplyDeleteThank you, Muff! I tried to include some subtle humor for the grown ups, but of course had to include some booty grabbin' for the 12 year old boys in all of us.
Delete5 years is impressive!
ReplyDeleteHappy Blog Anniversary!

ReplyDeleteThank you so much Phyllis! I still have a lot of stories to tell, and more songs to sing. :)
DeleteRoxanne,
ReplyDeleteYou have made us have all kinds of emotions in here over the years. Thanks! You matched up the video so well with the words of the song! I truly enjoyed it.
CONGRATULATIONS! Keep singing and stay close. :-D

DeleteCongratulations for your five years of effort. Yay, Roxanne. Nice to hear your voice. Love seeing your photos from the amusing booty shots to the body comparisons and the action shots. Looking forward to five plus more years enjoying your blog.
ReplyDeleteHope you celebrate your achievement ;-)
Thank you, D7ana! I celebrated by making this video. :) You were the first person to ever comment on this blog. Thanks for all of the support and encouragement over the years!

DeleteYou have an awesome array of dolls. Congrats on 5yrs of Roxanne's Dolls Blogging! Nice cover of this song by the way.
ReplyDeleteThank you AG Lanc! I really like this song and the message in the lyrics.
DeleteCongrats! May you have many more, happy, blogging years. I loved the video! It was well done, and it takes a lot of skill to have the scenes and the song in sync like that.
ReplyDeleteThanks so much Vanessa! It took every bit of patience within me to have the scenes sync with the music as well as they did. Overall, it was a fun process.
DeleteCongratulation (again) Roxanne! I am so glad that WLBD members encouraged you to begin this blog, which has enriched my appreciation for playscale dolls and action figures. Without you and D7ana, I'd never branched out into this area of collecting. Here's to several more wonderful blogging years.

Thank you, Debbie! I'm so appreciative of you and WLBD members for encouraging me every step of the way. Before joining WLBD, I had never even really photographed my collection, and the first photos that I took were at the request of members there. I remember you giving me suggestions on how to make my photos better. Being a member there helped to prepare me for blogging. And when I posted Calista's first diary entry there, I thought at the time that there would only be 1, but through the encouragement of the group I kept going. I'm looking forward to the years to come!
DeleteCongratulations! You have such a great collections of dolls and I wish you many more years of blogging.
ReplyDeleteThank you Brini! I went back and read my first blog post, and I laughed out loud at myself for saying back then that I thought that I was slowing down on adding new dolls to my collection. I may have slowed down for a little while, but my collection continues to grow and grow.
DeleteJust thought of you today. The song, "You gotta be" by Des'Ree was just on the radio and it sounded so much like you! :-D
ReplyDeleteThe grandmommy, I'm so flattered that you think that I sound like Des'ree! I guess I tend to imitate people when I sing their songs. My voice has a bit of a raspy quality to it that I usually try to downplay when I'm singing, but I was deliberate about letting that quality come through on this song so that I would sound more like Des'ree. Thank you!
DeleteGreat video! Congrats on the 5th anniversary, and it looks like you've got some party animals over there!
ReplyDeleteThank you Jewell! Yes, they are always ready for a party! They have worn me out, though. :)
DeleteHappy anniversary!!!
ReplyDeleteThank you Valsays! :)
DeleteCongratulations on keeping your blog going for 5 years. I really enjoyed the video. I especially like your use of puppetry to animate the dolls!
ReplyDeleteThank you limbe dolls! I hadn't thought of what I'm doing as puppetry until reading your comment, but I like the idea that I'm using technology to continue an ancient tradition of storytelling.
DeleteThis video is awesome! I had to watch it a second time because the first viewing left me floored. You are SO creative!!!! Great job!!!!!!!!! And I love that you song it! Perfect! : )
ReplyDeleteThanks so much Georgia Girl! I am so happy that I am able to use my favorite hobbies as a creative expression.
DeleteCongratulatins on your five years. I wish you continued successful blogging.
ReplyDeleteThank you Male Doll World! :)
DeleteCongratulations! The video won't play on my phone, but I'm sure it's awesome. :)
ReplyDeleteThank you Anderson's All-Purpose! I'm disappointed that the video will not play for you. I've added a link to the end of the post - please try clicking that and see if the video will play that way.
