Sparkle Girlz Clothes

After reading about the new Sparkle Girlz fashions on several blogs, I went to Walmart in search of cute cheap clothing for my teen dolls.  Someone had already cleared out all of the single $1.97 fashions, but there were still some Fashion Boutique packs left.  I picked up 3 of them for $8.88 each, and the ones that I purchased are pictured below.

Several Sparkle Girlz dolls were on display, both full-sized and mini.  I was almost tempted to purchase a doll.  Almost.  The Sparkle Girlz even have a cute little inexpensive car now.  I did not get a photo of that, but I did take a quick photo of some of the dolls below.

When I got home, I opened one of the packs and tried the clothes on some of my dolls, and the dolls are modeling the clothing in the photo below.  The dolls are from left to right:  HSM Sharpay, Juku Couture Kana, Calista on Super Model Bel body, Hispanic everGirl, and Flavas Kiyoni Brown.  Most of the clothes are too big for Kana, but she fits the outfit below really well.  Sharpay, Kana, and Calista can all put the Sparkle Girlz shoes on, but Sharpay can not stand in them.  The shoes are really flimsy, though, so it would be easy to cut the heels to make the shoes fit Sharpay better.  These young ladies are ready to head back to school in style!

I also got a little something for Ken.  He will have to model his some other time.

    2. Hi Muff and Doll Crazy! I wish that I had taken a photo of the car. I'm looking forward to opening the rest of the packs and playing dress-up with some of my other dolls. :)

    3. I brought my daughter the Sparkle Girlz car. It's a pink beetle with the lashes on the head lights.

    4. Thanks for the info Shy Ann! Jewell showed a photo of the car on her blog. I think it's a really cute car that kids will enjoy. As an adult collector, I'm going to pass on adding the car to my collection.

  2. I am glad you were able to purchase the fashion sets, Roxanne. I really like the one with the denim jacket. It is good to see the different dolls these fashions will fit. Thanks for including a photo of the dolls and confirming that there are different complexions available in the AA version.

This company has done a wonderful job of producing a variety of inexpensive dolls and accessories. I wonder if children are as fascinated about the SG as adult collectors appear to be, or are they still mesmerized by the more expensive pink world of Barbie, items of which are probably made in the same factories alongside SG.

    1. Thank you Debbie, and thanks so much for your post about these fashions. I don't know if kids are as excited as adults are about the SG products, but I think that if I were a child I would like the fashions and playsets, but I would not be crazy about the dolls. As an adult, I'm crazy about the cute inexpensive clothing, but not the dolls or the playsets.

I hope that there are other outfits that the smaller dolls like Kana, Briana Joy, Keyshia, etc. can wear. Walmart also had a bunch of Barbie fashions for $5 and change. If I hadn't been so tired, I would have taken photos of a bunch more stuff. Maybe I'll try another Walmart over the weekend.

    2. I found the Sparkle Girlz dolls I wanted for myself and for my niece. I purchased a couple of minis for her, too. Her Christmas box is growing by leaps and bounds. This Walmart didn't have any playsets but they did have the boxed fashions. I purchased the one with the denim jacket in it.

  3. These dolls are not for sale here in Belgium (at least I haven't seen them yet). The t-shirt and denim jacket are great! The Ken outfit looks cool too :-)

    1. Thanks for your comments, Night Owl! I hope that you see the dolls and fashions in Belgium soon. The outfit with the denim jacket is one of my favorites, too. I have an idea of which one of my dolls will wear the Ken fashion. :)

  4. Roxanne, I picked up the car and immediately put it back down when I saw it had eyelashes. I should have taken a picture. I have to make another Walmart run tomorrow. I might have to take a photo of that car if my neighborhood store has it in stock. You've got me seriously considering another boutique set. I love that shorts and vest set. Your teens are definitely heading back to school in style.

    2. Thanks Jewell! The car was on the bottom shelf and I didn't even bother to pick it up, so I never saw the eyelashes. Are the Sparkle Girlz driving around in a female version of Speed Buggy? LOL! I want to go back and pick up even more SG clothes. Some of the cutest ones that I've seen come in the individual packs, so I want to see if I can find some of those.

    1. I purchased mine from Walmart. I did a quick check on walmart.com, and it looks like the clothes are only available in stores. Other than that, you could get the clothing on eBay, but be prepared to spend more than you would at Walmart. Good luck!
