I've decided that I want to post more videos. Prior to posting Calista and Bob's latest video, I had only posted 5 videos in nearly 5 years. And let me tell you, although I enjoy putting together the videos, doing so can be very time intensive! I did not expect to spend nearly an entire weekend day putting together Calista and Bob's video, but that's what I did. I can't spend that kind of time very often, but I want to post more videos. I decided to learn another video editing software program, hoping that things would be a little easier with that one.
I am learning a new software program, and in the process I have created some new videos. Some of them were much easier, some not so much. My Articulated Dolls and Action Figures Comparisons video below was truly a labor of love. While it did not take me an entire day, it took me several hours. And when I think about the hours that went into posing the dolls and taking the photos, well, like I said it's been a labor of love. I also created a video review for my Prettie Girls Lena doll.
And I created a video for my Monster High Wolf family dolls (Clawdeen, Clawd, Howleen, and Clawdia).
These were fun! I made it a goal to create 10 new videos this summer. I've created 5, and I want to make 5 more this month. And I want to make at least 1 video per month for the rest of the year. Also I want to create at least 1 video using a different video editing software program than the 2 I've already used. Let's see how it goes!
Momoko, Taylor, and Nakia can stand without assistance. The others can stand in certain shoes.
Here they are showing their elbow flexibility. They all have articulation at the elbow. Bebe has the most flexibility here.
Here they are sitting on the floor trying to cross their arms. Bebe comes the closest to being able to cross her arms. Momoko, Taylor, and Nakia all have articulation at the ankle and can wear flat or heeled shoes. Clawdia, Lena, and Bebe have heeled feet and it is harder to find shoes for them.
Here they are doing a side stretch. Momoko has upper torso articulation that allows her to rotate, but not to bend from side to side. Taylor has lower torso articulation and can rotate and bend. Nakia has articulation at the upper and lower torso that allows her to rotate and bend, and she does this pose the best. Lena has articulation at the upper torso that allows her to bend and rotate very slightly. Bebe has a twist and turn waist.
Here they are in the "walk like an Egyptian" pose. Momoko has articulation at the wrists that allows her to move her hands back and forth, but not to rotate. Taylor, Clawdia, and Nakia have wrists that are fully articulated. Who do you like the best in this pose? I think that Taylor executes this pose the best, but Momoko just looks adorable.
Here they are doing kneeling backbends. All of them have jointed knees with the exception of Bebe, who has clicky knees and can not kneel. Taylor and Nakia have double-joined knees and do kneeling poses quite well. Taylor and Nakia's torso articulation also allows them to arch their backs. Nakia does this pose the best.
Here they are showing off their hands. Nakia's right hand can grip objects, and her left hand has a magnet that allows her to hold her basketball and other magnetized objects. Bebe's right hand has a small hole that allows her to hold her lollipop, and other objects small enough to fit in the hole. Clawdia has claws. I don't have a favorite here as far as hands. I like the looks of Lena's and the functionality of Nakia's.
Here they are attempting to sit cross-legged on the floor. None of them can do it, but Clawdia comes the closest.
Here they are doing middle splits. Taylor does this the best.
Here they are doing front splits. Momoko, Clawdia, Lena, and Bebe all do this very well.
Here they are doing a leg lift. It looks like Lena can lift her leg the highest.
Here they are sitting down. Lena can not close her legs in a seated position.

When I saw this post on DBG's Black Doll Collecting blog, I knew that I had to get Lena. I ordered her immediately, and a few days later Lena arrived.
The back of her box includes basic information about her.
She comes with a nice doll stands. I don't really have a use for doll stands though, so I will put that away. I was really interested to see if she could stand on her own in her shoes.
Hooray! Lena can stand on her own in the shoes that she comes with. Her clothes and accessories look nice. I love the fact that her silver jewelry actually looks silver, as opposed to gray.
Here is a close-up. Lena is a very pretty doll. There is some type of product in her hair that holds her side-swept bangs in place and that part of her hair feels stiff. Her hair is well rooted.
Her clothes are nice and they fit her very well. Here she is in her blouse without her jumper.
And here she is nude. She has points of articulation at her elbows, knees, and chest. Her torso articulation allows her to move very slightly from side to side, to rotate slightly, and to arch her back very slightly. She has molded on panties. Her head will move back and forth, but not up and down. Her feet are arched, so she can not stand without assistance when her shoes are not on. She has an attractive pear-shaped figure. Her arms will not rest against her body - they arch outward as shown here.

So let's talk about shoes and fashions. Lena can share shoes with Mixis and Jakks Pacific dolls. She can balance (quite precariously) in Jakks Pacific shoes, as seen below. Mixis dolls can balance in her shoes.

She looks good in a Mixis fashion, also. Below, Lena is wearing Mixis Opal's dress and shoes.
Because Lena has a larger bottom compared to Mattel and some other fashion dolls, there may be an issue in finding fashions that fit her just right. She is smaller on the top, so she shouldn't have an issue wearing most Barbie blouses, but pants and dresses may be another story. Below, Lena wears a Barbie (Model Muse) top and some Barbie pants. The pants stretch a little, which is why they fit Lena so well. She is wearing Sashabella Paws' black boots and she is able to balance in them. Lena can also wear Howleen Wolf's sneakers, but she can not balance in them.
Here she is wearing another Barbie fashion. This dress stretches a little, so Lena wears it well. She is wearing Super Model Bel's shoes and she can balance somewhat in them.
My overall impression is that this is a good quality doll that is well worth the money. I love her features, her figure, her jewelry, and that her hair is well rooted. I wish that she had better articulation, no molded on panties, and that her arms would rest against her body.
Lena will fit in quite nicely here, and she is making new friends already.
