Sparkle Girlz Clothes

After reading about the new Sparkle Girlz fashions on several blogs, I went to Walmart in search of cute cheap clothing for my teen dolls.  Someone had already cleared out all of the single $1.97 fashions, but there were still some Fashion Boutique packs left.  I picked up 3 of them for $8.88 each, and the ones that I purchased are pictured below.

Several Sparkle Girlz dolls were on display, both full-sized and mini.  I was almost tempted to purchase a doll.  Almost.  The Sparkle Girlz even have a cute little inexpensive car now.  I did not get a photo of that, but I did take a quick photo of some of the dolls below.

When I got home, I opened one of the packs and tried the clothes on some of my dolls, and the dolls are modeling the clothing in the photo below.  The dolls are from left to right:  HSM Sharpay, Juku Couture Kana, Calista on Super Model Bel body, Hispanic everGirl, and Flavas Kiyoni Brown.  Most of the clothes are too big for Kana, but she fits the outfit below really well.  Sharpay, Kana, and Calista can all put the Sparkle Girlz shoes on, but Sharpay can not stand in them.  The shoes are really flimsy, though, so it would be easy to cut the heels to make the shoes fit Sharpay better.  These young ladies are ready to head back to school in style!

I also got a little something for Ken.  He will have to model his some other time.

Calista's Diary Entry - Field Trip

Dear Diary,

Today I went on a field trip to Dog Iron Ranch in Oologah, Oklahoma, which is the birthplace of Will Rogers.  It was so interesting and so much fun!  Something that caught my attention even before we arrived at the ranch was a small replica of the house that Will Rogers was born in.  I wished that I could stop there for a few minutes to take a closer look.  I wished that I could bring my dolls there to play.  Maybe I will one of these days.

Me and Bob had a good view from the balcony of the house.  We were enjoying watching the others below, and just talking to each other.  He seemed like he had something on his mind.

It wasn't long before the others joined us on the balcony.

It was cool in the shade!  Mira got right in between me and Bob.

We went back down to the porch, and Mira still positioned herself in between me and Bob.  Okay, she was starting to bother me!  I felt like Bob had something to say to me, and that maybe he would say it if the others weren't around.

We were able to go inside the house also, and it was so interesting to see how people lived in the 1800's.  It's so hard to imagine what people did before computers, TV's, cell phones, cars, etc.  But I have to say that the house and the land are really beautiful!  OMG, is that an OUTHOUSE over there on the right?  I've only seen those in old movies!  I guess that there's a lot that I take for granted.

I wandered away from the others to have a look around.  The house overlooks Oologah Lake.  The view is breathtaking.

There were a lot of animals.  We saw some Texas Longhorn steers. On the grounds, there were goats, rabbits, donkeys, horses, chickens, peacocks, etc.

Speaking of peacocks...

I'm not sure, but I think that this may be where they made the horseshoes.

I wanted to see what was inside the barn.  There were some goats and some horses.

The workers at the ranch are EXTREMELY nice, friendly, and helpful!  They saw me looking at the goats and petting them, and asked me if I wanted to ride.  I was nervous about it, but how could I pass up that opportunity.  They helped me onto the goat, and it was a fun ride!  YEEEHAWWW!

I went outside again and had a closer look at the donkeys.  I petted them and everything.

Bob found me.  He said that he had been looking all over for me.  I told him that I just wanted to get away from the group for a while, and that Mira was really getting on my nerves.  He told me that she was getting on his, too.

I was feeling so self-conscious because it was extremely windy and my hair was blowing all over the place.  I kept trying to hold it down in front of Bob, but he told me to just let it go.  He said that I looked cute with the wind blowing through my hair, and that I looked "vibrant" with my hair blowing around and framing my face.  Vibrant?  Me?  Really?

We were alone, so I just asked him if he had something on his mind.  He hesitated for a second, and then said that we should just enjoy today.  He said that this had been one of the best days of the entire school year, and I had to agree with him.  We spent our last few moments alone sitting on a bench and watching the lake, sometimes talking, sometimes not.  And then it was time to go home.

Calista's Diary Entry - Slumber Party

Dear Diary,

Skipper called me on Saturday and asked me if I wanted to come to her house for a slumber party that night. I told her that it was really short notice, but that I wanted to come. I asked her if Hadley and Isla would be there and she said no, so I said okay. I asked my mom and dad and they said that I could go.

At the party, there was me, Kiyoni, Mira, Skipper and Linh. All of the girls there were older than me so I was a little worried that I would not have fun. I wished that Briana Joy and Kana were there. But the other girls were nice and we did have fun. We got things started by listening to music and dancing, which somehow led to a pillow fight.

Then it was time for make-overs. Skipper wanted to give me a relaxer and Kiyoni wanted to put blue streaks in my hair! No thanks! I like my hair just the way that it is! I did let Linh style it though. Mira gave me a facial.

We had a lot of cookies, chips, soda, and other junk for snacks that night.

We played a game called Secret Crush, where we had to write down the names of guys that we secretly have a crush on. Then, someone would read off the names and the rest of us were supposed to guess who has the crush on him. When Linh called out Bob's name, they all laughed and they all knew it was me. Linh said "Calista the game is called 'Secret Crush', not 'Most Obvious Crush EVER!" I could feel my cheeks getting hot, I was so embarrassed. Kiyoni has a crush on the teacher, Mr. Smith - yuck!

I was the first one to fall asleep. It's a good thing that I'm a light sleeper too because I woke up with them gathered around me, and Skipper had an eyebrow pencil in her hand. I think that they were going to draw a mustache or something on me. Me and Skipper finally went to sleep for good at around 2:00 a.m. The other girls stayed up whispering and giggling until after 4:00 a.m.
