Remembering Michael

It's been 7 years ago today since Michael Jackson died. I will remember him always.

Calista saw a performance of MJ Live while in Las Vegas and met the lead performer. I suppose it's the closest she'll ever come to seeing Michael Jackson live in concert.

  1. Nice tribute to MJ. At first glance, I thought Calista took a photo with the real MJ. The performer looks a lot like Michael.

    1. Thank you, Debbie! The Michael Jackson tribute performer (Jallas Franca) put on an incredible show! As you mentioned, he looks a lot like Michael, and he also sings and dances a lot like Michael. We had a great time!

  2. Man, when I was a kid my sister was IN LOVE with the Jackson5. She had all their albums (I think I stole one from her) and she never stopped talking about them. When Michael Jackson went solo she was slightly disappointed but enjoyed his Off The Wall album (I definitely stole that one - still got it too, lol). He was an excellent performer.

    1. My older sisters loved the Jackson 5 also. Michael was never really on my radar until the Motown 25 special aired when I was 12 years old. When I saw him do the moonwalk for the first time, I went wild. I had never seen anyone dance like that before. I watched his videos on MTV over and over again in those days. He was an extremely gifted performer.

  4. I will never overcome his death. Still can't watch any of his video or listen to his song without crying. Can't even look at his photos or read articles about him, it's all too painful. It's so unfair that even this amazing, gentle, humble and simply good human being had to die. At the day he dies I was on a concert, so didn't know about his death untill very late at night, when my friend messeged me with this information. Obviously I had terrible night, then raid win train. I was crying all the time but not only me, there was such strange atmosphere in the train car, everyone were either crying or trying to not cry or looking at us with stupid smiles. When I arrived to Warsaw there was a tribute outside of metro station, many people lied the flowers, candles and photos of Michael, some dressed like him too. Poor, poor Michael.

    R.I.P Michael.

    1. Thank you jewel snake for your heartfelt comments! I was at work when I first read the horrible news of his passing. I told one of my co-workers that TMZ was reporting that Michael Jackson had died, and my co-worker didn't believe it. I didn't want to believe it, either. By the time I got home, it was all over the news. What a sad day that was.

  5. Nice tribute!

My sister isn't a doll person, but she is a huge MJ fan, so I shared this with her (she had that LJN doll when we were kids) and we ended up having an hour-long nostalgia chat - so I need to thank you for inspiring me to give her a call.

    1. Thank you jSarie! I would've loved to have had a Michael Jackson doll as a kid! The LJN doll came out when I was 14 and thought that I was a little too old for dolls, but I'm sure I would've loved him. :) I'm so happy that you had a nice chat with your sister!
