It's nice to know that manufacturers in China are making darker skin tones.RoxanneRoxannehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01079345476722203250noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4151470353346020825.post-41463045617205038162017-12-27T23:02:42.459-06:002017-12-27T23:02:42.459-06:00I see. This doll has been the MOST difficult to find a body that matches her, so I'm buying another one that has a dark skin tone, but at least colored to make my body search for her a bit easier. Thanks for the suggestions!

By the way, the head in the photograph is a knockoff ddung doll from china. The folks from there have been experimenting with a darker skin tone lately.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4151470353346020825.post-11847575414488463522017-12-22T00:52:13.723-06:002017-12-22T00:52:13.723-06:00Hi Anonymous! It is difficult to try to match head...Hi Anonymous! It is difficult to try to match heads to bodies from photos alone, and I'm not familiar with the doll in the photo. Are you wanting to match that doll with a shorter girl doll, like the ones in this post? I don't know of any dolls this size that would be a good match for that head. But check out my Teen Girl Dolls Comparisons post: http://roxannesdolls.blogspot.com/2014/01/teen-girl-doll-comparisons.html. Kiyoni Brown is a little taller than these dolls and has a deep skin tone, but it doesn't look like she will be an exact match. Good luck!RoxanneRoxannehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01079345476722203250noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4151470353346020825.post-76812851000583233842017-12-17T20:39:35.567-06:002017-12-17T20:39:35.567-06:00Hi there! Layla has long crazy legs.RoxanneRoxannehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01079345476722203250noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4151470353346020825.post-71917398496290732742014-01-13T21:48:43.865-06:002014-01-13T21:48:43.865-06:00I didn't know that Winx had a black girl! Even though I have a Winx girl she is still in the box and I never paid attention to the fact that their legs are so long and wobbly.

I have an affection for the articulated Bratz body so that's my favorite.Muffhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06121187068323359131noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4151470353346020825.post-61239324716110459622014-01-12T13:14:17.292-06:002014-01-12T13:14:17.292-06:00Thank you, Nymphaea! She would easily be my favorite in this group if she had articulation at the wrists and ankles.

I looked at the photos again and noticed that I didn't pose Layla for the front splits photo. If anyone wants to see her do it, click here. Also, I thought that it was amusing that even though I tried to pose them from shortest to tallest, it looks almost like the opposite of that in the photo where they are sitting on the floor trying to cross their arms.RoxanneRoxannehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01079345476722203250noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4151470353346020825.post-21286622472902056892014-01-12T12:44:55.395-06:002014-01-12T12:44:55.395-06:00This is a great post, the girls all did very well!...This is a great post, the girls all did very well! All the girls ...I always enjoy your comparisons.

All the girls are really cute. Their attempts, whether successful or not, to pose in the various ways was interesting and funny. Some were able to do what you set out for them to do while others could not. I admire their attempts.

I don't really have a favorite, but in each picture, I looked to see how well Keyshia performed. I guess I rooted for her along the way. I was happy to see that her front-end split was the best. Her smile always made me smile.

The final image was too funny. The girls look pooped after so many body contortions, especially Layla!

Great post!

dbgBlack Doll Enthusiasthttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07534871309015210903noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4151470353346020825.post-70852539774637104242014-01-12T01:26:29.378-06:002014-01-12T01:26:29.378-06:00Thank you for your comments, Carrickters! I had been timid when posing her in the past because of her wire armature, but today I went for it and she really showed what she can do.RoxanneRoxannehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01079345476722203250noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4151470353346020825.post-54006761382130027532014-01-12T01:19:56.742-06:002014-01-12T01:19:56.742-06:00Thanks for your comments, D7ana! I have to say that my favorite among these is Kana because of her articulation. I'm not thrilled about her startled expression, though. Janet and Keyshia are probably tied for second place. Great comparison photos. I agree with you about Kana in the 'walk like an Egyptian' pose but Layla's legs give that pose an interesting twist. I thought I would be able to pick a favourite but as I go back and look at the pictures again, I think they are all good.Carricktershttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09323704570291088000noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4151470353346020825.post-14394413191373807922014-01-11T21:28:41.961-06:002014-01-11T21:28:41.961-06:00I am proud of Joy. I cannot imagine doing that, lol. Looks too painful. But go head Keyshia doing that side split. Mind I cannot do that either, lol.

It's fun how you have posed them ... Keyshia and Briana Joy seem to be checking how the others are doing as if to do their best. The Egyptian walk photo, though, is my favorite. Too cute.

Thanks for sharing these photos showing the articulation of these younger dolls. It's so fun to see them - almost like they are in a gym class.D7anahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15497306465109590188noreply@blogger.com
